I really enjoyed this post! I love your perspective on this issue; how it doesn’t become a problem until people start to claim that it is their own work. It’s really made me rethink my opinion on AI, because it’s just a tool (and there’s really nothing wrong with that!) so there’s really not a problem with AI itself, but with some of the ways humans use it to replace writing, art, etc. When used right (as a tool, like for editing) it doesn’t become an issue! Thanks for this post, it has really changed my own perspective!
It's seems that at worst, AI is like Steve Rodgers serum, it amplifes what is already in the person. It has no agency of its own and can only go where directed.
Oh i like that analogy, and yes, that is it exactly. Kinda like money…. Or power, or opportunity…. Lack or rules or supervision…… we are all who we truly are, when we think we are in control
